DESCRIPTION - HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR - Fiat 500 1.3 Multijet

The adjustment of the orientation of the headlamp light beam according to the load is carried out by means of a regulating device (located inside the main headlamps), which tilts them appropriately, lowering the light beam if the vehicle is heavily laden and raising it if the load lessens.The headlamp alignment correction system can only be activated with the ignition key in the MAR position and the dipped beam headlamps switched on.Two buttons to the right of the instrument panel allow the headlamp alignment to be adjusted, allowing the vertical orientation to be changed between 4 predefined positions (from 0 to 3):position 0: one or two people on the front seats (vehicle in driving order);position 1: four people;position 2: four people with load in the luggage compartment;position 3: driver with maximum permitted load all stowed in the luggage compartment (full load);The special relay built into the Body Computer that controls the activation of the dipped beams also supplies the adjustment motors built into the main headlights.The circuit is protected by a dedicated fuse also located in the Body Computer.The instrument panel display shows the position in relation to the adjustment set.

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION - HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR - Fiat 500 1.3 Multijet

The dipped-beam headlights activation signal is sent to pin 38 of connector D of Body Computer M001 from steering wheel interface H005.Body Computer M001 receives a direct battery power supply (pin 1 of connector A) protected by fuse F01 in engine compartment junction unit B001 (pin 18 of connector B); it also receives an ignition-operated power supply (INT) at pin 11 of connector E.Body Computer M001 is also connected to driver-side dashboard earth C015 via pins 9 and 10 of connector E.Body Computer M001 manages the power supply to main headlights adjustment motors F010 (left) and F011 (right) as well as the activation of the dipped beam headlights. Each circuit is controlled by a dedicated relay built into the Body Computer and is protected by fuse F13 of the Body Computer; respectively:from pin 11 of connector C, for left-hand headlamp motor (pin 6);from pin 26 of connector C, for right-hand headlamp motor (pin 6);The same dipped beams activated enablement signal reaches pin 8 of instrument panel E050 from pin 8 of connector E of Body Computer M001.Operating the buttons to the right of the instrument panel sends a command signal (pin 7 of E050) that operates the adjustment motors built into the two main headlights F010 and F011 (pin 7).Main headlamps F010 (left) and F011 (right) are connected to left-hand front earth C010.
