The headlamp washer cleans the headlamp lenses as the windscreen is being cleaned.The headlamp washer function is managed by the control panel that automatically operates the headlamps - with dipped or main beams on - when it receives a command from the stalk unit.The headlamp washer consists of a pump that sends detergent to a nozzle located in the bumpers. This in turn sprays a powerful jet on the headlamp.A timer activates the headlamp washer pump by means of a series of pulses lasting about half a second.The headlamp washer circuit is protected by a fuse and governed by a special relay locted in the junction unit beneath the instrument facia.
Operational Description - HEADLAMP WASHER - Fiat DUCATO 2.8 JTD 8V fino a 02/05
Relay T25 of under-facia junction unit B002 is supplied by a line protected by fuse F01, located in engine bay control unit B001, and excited by an ignition-operated line (INT/A) from fuse F31 of underfacia junction unit B002.Relay T25 directly controls headlamp washer pump N025, when a command is received from control panel H090 - pin 7 connector A -.Control panel H090 receives a control signal - pin 9 connector A - from stalk unit H005 - pin 3 connector C -, and governs relay T25 - only with the main or dipped beams on - and sends an earth signal back.The headlamp washer motor is connected to earth C010.
