Description - HEATED SEATS - Fiat DUCATO 2.8 JTD 8V fino a 02/05


The left front seat can also be equipped, on request, with a special heating system (which consists of a heater element located in the cushion): it allows the seat to be warmed up which is advantageous in very cold climates. The left front seat can also be equipped, on reqeust, with a special heating system (which consists of a heater element located in the cushion): this allows the seat to be heated to overcome the discomfort of cold passenger compartments in very harsh climates, e.g. when the car is left in the open for long periods in winter.The heating device located in the seat consists of two resistors activated by a switch located on the seat.Once a certain temperature has been reached the heating stops automatically thanks to a thermal contact inside the actual device.The circuit is controlled by the services relay and protected by a special fuse both located in the optional junction unit under the dashboard.

Operational Description - HEATED SEATS - Fiat DUCATO 2.8 JTD 8V fino a 02/05


Relay T13, located in the optional junction unit under the dashboard B101, receives a supply controlled by the ignition at pin 1 of connector A, along the line protected by fuse F31 located in the junction unit under the dashboard B002; the relay is connected to earth C020 (pin 15) at pin 45 connector B.When the relay coil is energized, the internal contact closes providing a direct battery supply to the heater O040 from the line protected by fuse F45 housed in the optional junction unit under the dashboard B101. The seat heater is activated by pressing the special switch built into the actual seat heater. The heater O040 is connected directly to earth C020 (pin 11) at pin 2.
