DescriptionThe horns are operated by pressing one of the two sides of the steering wheel.The horn circuit is protected by a special fuse and controlled by a specific relay located in the junction box.For safety reasons, the horns can be operated at any time, even when the key is turned to OFF (or removed).
Functional description The system for the horns is supplied through the horn relay R2, located in the junction unit B1 from the direct line from the battery through the fuse F13 - always for B1 - and the maxifuse J/B1 for B5. The coil for the relay R2 is energized with an earth signal when one of the switches on the steering wheel is closed; on versions with Air Bags, they are connected to the steering column switch unit H5 by the clock spring. The relay R2 thereby supplies the high tone horns P10 and the lone tone horns P11.
