The intermittent turn signals and hazard warning lights delimit the entire vehicle perimeter.The right and left side turn signals are activated by raising or lowering a steering wheel stalk switch.The hazard warning lights (right and left side indicators operated simultaneously) are activated by means of a red button in the centre of the control panel in the dashboard.The turn signals are ignition-operated but the hazard warning lights can always be operated for safety reasons because they are supplied directly by the battery. The turn signal and hazard warning light circuits are protected by two different fuses.Two warning lights in the instrument panel, also the intermittent type, signal that the left and right indicators have been switched on; one is only for if there is a trailer fitted. There are two LEDs in the red hazard warning lights button: the first is ignition-operated and lights up the ideogram; the second, red one, comes on intermittently when the hazard warning lights are activated. Versions with alarm: the hazard warning lights are also activated by the alarm system which is connected directly to the power supply for these lights. Versions without alarm: the hazard warning lights are operated - when the door remote control is activated - by a special relay next to the junction unit. The hazard warning lights are also activated by the alarm system which is connected directly to the power supply for these lights.Connection for a trailer: by replacing the intermittent device with a double charge it is possible to activate the connection that signals that either the left or the right indicator has been switched on by means of a special warning light in the instrument panel.

Operational description - DIRECTION INDICATORS / HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS - Fiat MULTIPLA 1.9 JTD 8V da 09/03

The circuit is controlled by the switch control unit H90 . The intermittent type device is located in the steering column switch unit H5. It is earthed at pin 7 of connector A and receives a supply signal at pin 7 of connector D via the actual switch H90, when:the hazard warning lights are not on: the power supply is ignition-operated (INT) via fuse F1 of junction unit B1the hazard warning lights are on: the power supply comes directly from the battery via the line for maxifuse J/B1 of B5 and fuse F9 of junction unit B1. The intermittent device then produces a signal which supplies both the switch for the steering column switch unit direction indicators H5 and the switch for the hazard warning lights H90 . Operating the lever for the steering column switch unit H5 in either direction provides a power supply for the right indicators ( F11 , F21 , F31 ) or the left ones ( F10 , F20 , F30 ). The warning light, located in the instrument panel E50 comes on simultaneously . By pressing the switch in the control unit H90 on the other hand the three contacts that simultaneously supply all the lights (left and right branches) and the red LED in the actual switch that lights up the ideogram are closed. In switch H90 there is also a special LED that comes on through the ignition-operated supply (INT/A) protected by shunt fuse B27 . Versions with alarm: all the hazard warning lights are also activated by the alarm system control unit M30 ). ) Versions without alarm: all the hazard warning lights are activated by relay J43 which receives a direct supply from the battery, via the line for maxifuse J/B1 of B5 and fuse F9 of junction unit B1 : the relay is energized by a signal coming from the remote control receiver M35 , pin 1.
