DescriptionThe vehicle is fitted with an extra bright rear fog lamp, located in the left rear light cluster which can be used in all poor visibility conditions. The rear fog lamps are activated by a button on the control panel; The rear fog lamps are enabled when the side lights and dipped beams are on, or when the high beams and fog lights are on.A warning light in the instrument panel signals that the rear foglamps have been switched on.The body computer nodemanages rear foglamp activation;monitors the system to ensure it is working efficiently and indicates any faults by turningon a lighting failure warning light on the instrument panel.
Functional description The rear foglamp activation control is issued by a key inside control panel H090. Body computer node M001 receives a negative signal (referring to earth C020 connector B) at pin7 connector N.The rear fog lamp is turned on under the following conditions:if pins 7 and 6 of connector P receive a side light2751416SeeE2010SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTSand low beam2751420SeeE2011DIPPED HEADLAMPSactivation signal or:if pin 5 of connector P receives a high beam activation signal2751424SeeE2012MAIN BEAM HEADLAMPS.767Earth C020 is located on the passenger compartment floor and located near the right front wheel arch (footwell). Once the signal has been received and the above conditions verified, pin 13 connector F of the body computer node supply the rear foglamp housed inside the left tail-light F030 Left tail-light F030 refers to earth C030 secured to the left rear wheel arch (passenger compartment interior). The body computer node monitors the lighting system to ensure it is operating correctly and indicates any faults by turning on the failure warning light on instrument panel E050 under the following conditions:load open;short circuit to earthshort circuit to +battery. Pins 35, 36 of body computer node communicate via the CAN network with instrument panel E050 (for more details see wiring diagram E1050) and turn on the rear foglamp warning light.
