DescriptionThe front ceiling light is the rocker type and contains a courtesy light. The courtesy light is switched on/off according to the following logic:to switch the courtesy light on permanently, press the light on the right hand side;to switch the courtesy light off, press the light on the left hand side;to switch the courtesy light on automatically, keep it in the centre position. The courtesy light is switched on automatically in the following circumstances:when the driver's door is opened;when the inertia switch is operated, for a maximum of 15 minutes. The courtesy light is switched off automatically in the following circumstances:when the driver's door is closed;when the inertia switch is reactivated. The rear courtesy light comes on or goes off when the tailgate is opened or closed, respectively.
Functional description The front courtesy light G010 receives a direct power supply from the battery through the line protected by fuse F39 housed inside the body computer node M001 . The internal switch A can be turned to three positions:position 0: the switching on or off of the front courtesy light depends on the state of the driver's front door switch I016;position 1: the front courtesy light is always off;position 2: the front courtesy light is always on.The driver's front door switch I016 is the N.A. (normally open) type. The switch internal contact has two working states:position 0: driver's front door closed; courtesy light offposition 1: driver's front door open; courtesy light on In the case of intervention, the inertia switch I050 sends a negative signal (with reference to the earth C030) to pin 14 connector G of the body computer node M001, which switches on the front courtesy light G010.The body computer node manages the switching on/off of the boot courtesy light G040. From connector G, the body computer node:at pin 18, supplies the bulb housed inside the boot courtesy light G040;at pin 5, receives the negative signal (with reference to earth C030) indicating the opening of the tailgate, coming from the switch on the exterior handle I033;at pin 13, receives the signal (with reference to earth C030) indicating the incomplete closing of the tailgate, coming from the exterior handle switch I033. The switch on the exterior handle I033 refers to the earth C030 fastened to the left rear wheel arch (passenger compartment interior). The opening of the driver's front door and the tailgate is displayed by the relevant warning light in the instrument panel E050. The command to switch on the warning light is supplied, via the CAN, by the body computer node (see wiring diagram E1050). The status of the doors is only signalled in the instrument panel when the ignition is on.
