DescriptionIn the case of poor visibility, it is possible to activate demisting of the rear window and the door mirrors. The heating resistances for these components absorb a considerable amount of energy and they are therefore checked and deactivated after a certain period: the defrosting is timed, according to the following logic, managed by the body computer node:ignition ON (INT/A);activation signal from the relevant button located in the control panel. In these circumstances the resistances remain supplied for a maximum of 20 minutes, then the power supply is cut off.The power supply is also cut off under the following conditions:ignition in OFF position;deactivation signal from the relevant button;battery voltage below 8.5 Vafter the first 10 minutes operation, if the engine speed is below 1000 rpm. When the demister is on, a warning light in the instrument panel is activated.
Functional description The demisting command for the heated rear windscreen and the door mirrors is sent from the special button inside the control panel H090. The body computer node M001 receives the negative signal (with reference to earth C020 connector B) at pin 6 connector N.767 Earth C020 is fastened to the passenger compartment floor and is located near the right front wheel arch (footwell area).Having received the signal, the body computer node:from pin 1 connector E: supplies the internal resistance for the heated rear windscreen P055;from pin 1 connector M: supplies the internal resistances for the door mirrors P060 and P061.767 The supply line for the internal resistances for the door mirrors is protected by fuse F40 which is managed by a relay incorporated in the body computer node. A special warning light in the instrument panel E050 signals that the function has been switched on. Communication between the body computer node M001 and the instrument panel E050 takes place via the CAN (for further details see wiring diagram E1050).767 Door couplings D030 and D031 are housed in the lower part of the pillar (right or left depending on the coupling involved), near the door cable duct.
