Description - HEADLAMP WASHER - Fiat PANDA 1.2 8v


The headlamp washer function is only activated if the dipped or main beam headlamps are switched on.The headlamp washer command is not a specific command, it is the same one given by the steering column switch unit right lever to carry out the front windscreen washer function.The headlamp washer function is activated each time the front windscreen washer control is operated.The supply line for the headlamp washer pump is protected by a specific fuse and operated by a relay, both housed in the engine compartment junction unit.

Operational description - HEADLAMP WASHER - Fiat PANDA 1.2 8v


The steering column switch unit H005 sends the command to the body computer node M001 to activate the headlamp washer pump by means of a negative signal, with an earth reference C020 connector B (from pin 2 connector B of H005).767Earth C020 is secured to the passenger compartment floor and is positioned near the right front wheel arch (footwell area).The headlamp washer command is sent by the steering column switch unit H005 from pin 6 connector A (the same signal sent for the activation of the windscreen washer).Having received the command, the body computer node M001 sends a negative signal from pin 6 connector D to the coil for relay T17 housed in the engine compartment junction unit B001. The relay closes its internal contact and provides a direct battery supply for the headlamp washer pump motor N025.The headlamp washer pump motor is only activated if the body comptuer node M001 receives the dipped or main beam headlamps on signal (at pin 5 or 6 connector P) coming from the steering column switch unit H005.
