DescriptionThe vehicle climate control system involves a duct/distributor unit with a heater, controlled via the knobs in the dashboard:the left knob mechanically controls the mixture flap between hot and cold air;the right knob, mechanically operated via a cable, controls the opening of the flaps which regulate the distribution of air flows;the two central knobs control the following: one knob electrically controls the air ventilation at four differente speeds, the other mechanically controls the function of air recirculation in the interior compartment, via a flexible cable. The different fan speeds are controlled by a resistive divider. The control panel is lit up when the side lights are on.The whole system is protected by specific fuses, housed in the junctions units in the engine compartment and under the instrument panel. A specific relay controls the switching on of the fan.The fan can only be switched on when the ignition is on.
Functional description The body computer node M001, from pin 9 connector C, manages the operation of the relay T08, which provides the direct battery supply to the electric motor of the fan N085. The relay, excluded during engine starting, is always energised, since it is connected directly to earth C011 from pin 49 connector D of the engine compartment junction unit B001. The speed of the fan N085 is set via the selector H080. The selector supplies the earth reference C016, to the motor N085, via the resistive divider Q030. Only at maximum speed, the fan motor N085 is connected directly to earth C016. From pin 9 connector L, the body computer node supplies the internal lights G045 (connector A and B), with the side lights on (for further details SeeE2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS ). 767The junction D001 is housed, in the interior compartment area, at the bottom of the front right pillar, near the door cable pass, passenger side.
