Description - MAIN BEAM HEADLAMPS - Fiat PANDA 1.3 JTD 16v
The vehicle is fitted with two special main beam headlamps.These are activated:with the dipped beams on, by pushing the stalk toward the facia (stable mode);in flashing mode, by pulling the stalk toward the steering wheel (unstable mode).
The circuit is protected by a special fuse and controlled by a relay - both located in the engine bay control unit.A warning light in the instrument panel signals that the main beams have been switched on.During engine start-up (key ON), the main beams are temporarily turned off and then turned back on when the engine is started.

The high beam activation control is issued by stalk unit H005 , turning stalk unit C to position 1, only after turning on the low beamsThe body computer node M001:receives a negative signal ( with reference to earth C020 connector B) at pin 2 connector L.
767Earth C020 is secured to the passenger compartment floor and is positioned near the right front wheel arch (footwell area).Once the signal has been received, the high beams are turned on:from pin 17 of connector C, it sends a negative signal to the coil of relay T02, which receives an ignition-operated supply from a line protected by fuse F31;the relay closes its internal contact and sends a direct battery power supply from pin 83 connettore D of B001 , to high beams F012 and F013 .
The same process is also activated by pressing key D (flashing mode) of stalk unit H005 .The body computer communicates, from pins 35, 36 connector I, via the CAN, with the instrument panel E050 (for more details)managing the switching on of the "high beam" warning light.JUNCTION UNIT
